Plenty of fam­ily fun at Noonga NYE party

NOONGA is the place to be this New Year’s Eve for those look­ing for a fam­ily-friendly way to wel­come the new year.

The re­cre­ation grounds on the Jack­son-Wan­doan Rd, 22km from Jack­son, will be abuzz with all the ex­cite­ment of a fair.

From 6pm there will be plenty of ac­tion and ac­tiv­i­ties to make time fly to­wards mid­night.

With spon­sor­ship in place, event or­gan­is­ers have been able to hire a huge range of rides in­clud­ing a buck­ing bull, milk­ing cow, jump­ing cas­tles and hayshed knock­out, pony hop and dry tug-o-war.

There are also a host of ac­tiv­i­ties for the less ad­ven­tur­ous.

There will be raf­fles aplenty in­clud­ing chook lotto and a si­lent auc­tion while foot­ball throw and billy boil­ing are among the other ac­tiv­i­ties or­gan­ised for the night.

Kieren Lil­las is back by pop­u­lar de­mand and will pro­vide the mu­si­cal en­ter­tain­ment, while a bar and bar­be­cue will be op­er­at­ing through­out the evening to en­sure ev­ery­one is well looked af­ter.

En­try cost is $25 for fam­i­lies (two adults and up to four chil­dren 17 years and un­der), $10 for adults while stu­dents and kids are $5.

En­try in­cludes un­lim­ited ac­cess to all the rides and ac­tiv­i­ties.

Free camp­ing is avail­able and a re­cov­ery break­fast for a gold coin do­na­tion will be served on new year’s day.
