SOCIAL MEDIA

The Western Star - - NEWS OPINION -

THIS week on Facebook we posted the story about learner drivers having to study online and answer more than 200 questions before completing their 100 hours of driving.

Here’s what you had to say: STEPHEN EDGLEY: I don’t think it’s right to do it online because if someone is in the house just ask a question and you’ll get told the right answer. And also if you’re doing the test on a computer you can google some things on your phone to get the answer. They should be made like any other exam, to sit down at the transport department and do your test.

PETER WILLIAMS: I think it should be part of the school curriculum.

BARBARA SPURRIER: This is just the Learner Licence test, they still have to do 100 hours of practical driving and pass their practical driving test with a Qld Transport examiner. Surely anything that ensures they are armed with more knowledge is a good thing?
