Bursary program for rural women
FEMALE students in high school and tertiary study will benefit from bursaries offered by the National Council of Women of Queensland this year.
The council has launched its 2018 bursary program to help women with their studies.
“If you are a female full-time student in your first year of a tertiary course, a resident of regional Queensland who has relocated for tertiary studies, and an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia, you may be eligible to apply for the 2018 NCWQ Regional/Rural Bursary,” Member for Warrego Ann Leahy said.
“There is a wealth of information about a variety of bursaries … and I encourage interested women to investigate the criteria and what is involved in the application process.
“Available from my electorate office is a scholarships guide which can also be of use to those who are pursuing further training and tertiary study,” Ms Leahy said.
