New health boost for area

The Western Star - - BEST OF THE WEST -

LOCAL allied health has gone out on a limb and opened a Vital Health office in Charleville after working out of indigenous health offices for the past two years.

Officially opening its doors about a month ago, Vital Health in Charleville is the new hub for the southwest region and is now located at 81 Galatea St.

Clinical coordinator Sophia Meland said they were excited to be in their own office and be able to provide the much-needed health services to the region.

“Being based in Roma as our main office we do outreach to the southwest region and Charleville had that much need and interest in our services we decided to have our own hub there.

“That way we have a team out there full time instead of every fortnight. We have found the community respond better when there are people in town who are locals that live and work.”

“It is a great location and we want people to know we are in town.”
