Women with secrets, trying to juggle their busy lives. It’s a whole new sub-genre which was given birth to after the massive success of Hollywood hit Big Little Lies. At a nifty six episodes, this British drama doesn’t overstay its welcome. Swapping the rolling waves of showy Monterey for the moody lakes of Windermere, in Northwest England, it is following the lives of three friends livin g in a small town. The usually glamorous Anna Friel (pictured) has been given a big make-under as earthy mum Lisa. Tonight, in episode four, the school trip has a twist when Lisa discovers the truth about Kate (Rosalind Eleazar). Roz (Sinead Keenan) walks into a perilous situation.
