Let The Barn do the cook­ing tonight

EMU Club is on again in Wal­lum­billa tonight, pro­vid­ing ev­ery­thing you could need to start off your week­end the right way.

There will be de­li­cious din­ner, free en­try, out­stand­ing com­pany, and for the first time, a li­censed bar to quench your thirst.

Sim­ply bring a chair to en­joy an evening by the fire with the com­mu­nity.

COW­BOYS and cow­girls are ready to ride and raise funds at this year’s Tooloom­billa Rodeo and Cam­p­draft.

Over three ex­cit­ing days, the tiny com­mu­nity will con­tinue in the tra­di­tion of host­ing its one and only event, all to sup­port the Fly­ing Doc­tors and lo­cal am­bu­lance ser­vice.

Camp­ing at the rodeo grounds is free, so stick around for a full week­end of sport­ing ac­tion.

Get ready to rally with Roger Rasheed

IN­TER­NA­TION­ALLY renowned ten­nis coach and com­men­ta­tor Roger

Rasheed (pic­tured) is look­ing to serve up some ten­nis tips with the west.

While his ten­nis clinic is closed to in­vi­ta­tion-only play­ers, Roma and Dis­trict Ten­nis Club will play host to an open evening for the whole fam­ily to en­joy.

The ju­nior coaches will be on hand to keep the kids en­ter­tained, and adults are wel­come to have a hit on court as well. Plus, Roger’s story is not to be missed.

Adult en­try is $20 with chil­dren ad­mit­ted free.

All pro­ceeds from the evening will go to­wards the resur­fac­ing of the re­main­ing two courts at the club house.

Waf­fles, crafts at monthly mar­ket

DO YOU like lo­cal crafts, Bel­gian waf­fles, break­fast and brows­ing sec­ond-hand items?

Then the monthly RSL mar­kets are the place for you this week­end.

The mar­kets are open to all who are look­ing for prod­ucts, crafts, home­made cook­ing, sec­ond-hand goods, books, tools, plants and cap­puc­ci­nos.

There will be a kitchen with food and drinks on of­fer.
