Showgirls sizzle up a storm
THE Roma Show may still be seven months away, but the Miss Showgirl winners have already started fundraising to ensure it’s the biggest one yet.
Miss Showgirl steward Tia Bentley said she hoped getting the faces of Miss Showgirl out there would inspire others to apply next year.
“We want to make it a bit bigger then it has been in previous years. If people see the young ones are doing it, others will follow,” she said.
“And by holding these fundraisers, the community can get more involved and see what these girls really do.
“The community support has been great. Roma Home and Hardware donated everything to cook with and Woolies donated all the drinks.”
Rural ambassador Sarah Packer said she was happy to help out a great cause.
“Its good to give back to the community,” she said.
The Roma Show will be on May 8 and 9 next year.
