Dance the night away for one great cause
DO THE Hustle, get ready to do the Funky Chicken and throw in an electric slide and a Nutbush all in the name of supporting the Endeavour Foundation.
Quickly becoming an annual tradition, Michael and Juanita Jensen are hoping to once again raise money this Saturday night to go towards the foundation.
“We are entrants each year in the Great Endeavour Rally,” Mr Jensen said.
“They provide a variety of means of assistance, they fill in the gaps that NDIS doesn’t cover and make life a bit easier for people.
“We are lucky to have an inhouse Endeavour Foundation here.
“I think it’s absolutely sensation the work the foundation is doing at the moment.
“They have an ever-expanding virtual reality program where they’ve been able to train people up to use forklifts and machinery.”
According to Mr Jensen, everybody either knows someone or is related to someone who requires some form of assistance.
“We’re able to help people all over Queensland. Each year we have a goal of $10,000,” he said.
“Every little bit helps. For this Saturday’s event we’re only charging $25 for a great night of entertainment, there will be finger food and a bar and music all night long.”
Doors open for the ’70s Dance Night at 6pm on Saturday night at the Roma Cultural Centre.
The event is open to the whole family., and tickets are available at Amanda’s Choice, the House of Relaxation, or at the door.
