Empty threats land court date

A MAN who threat­ened to shoot peo­ple at a health work­place af­ter his anger got the bet­ter of him will ap­pear in court next month. Be­tween the hours of 11am and 11.30am on Novem­ber 20, a 39year-old man was speak­ing to a 54-year-old fe­male from Pri­mary and Com­mu­nity Health on the phone. Dur­ing the con­ver­sa­tion, the man be­came irate and made threats to her that he would at­tend the of­fice and shoot peo­ple. The employee con­tacted po­lice who lo­cated the of­fender in his res­i­dence on Whip St. He was charged with use of car­riage ser­vice to make threats and will ap­pear in the Roma Mag­is­trates Court on De­cem­ber 18.
