Dinner drinks lead to a date with court
DRINKS with dinner proved costly for one woman. Natasha Yasmin Clare Allwood pleaded guilty to driving over the general alcohol limit in the Roma Magistrates Court on Tuesday. Roma police intercepted Allwood at 12.10am on September 14 where she admitted to consuming two bottles of pre-mixed liquor at dinner. After being breathalysed, she returned a reading of 0.064. Her lawyer told the court she had driven associates from Surat to Roma for dinner at the Club Hotel and had consumed lemon lime Cruisers.
Magistrate Cridland fined her $550 and disqualified her month driving for four months.
