Plough Day rolls in

The Western Star - - NEWS / WELCOME -

THE Roma Historical Precinct will host its second Roma Plough Day on Sunday, May 6, at Meadowbank Museum and Farmstay.

Back by popular demand, the event includes such tractor-related competitions as the tractor pull, mad tractors and the hand-held plough challenge.

Spectators are encouraged to come and check out the vintage and souped-up farm machines.

Competitors are invited to bring their own tractor for the ploughing competition, where two-man teams will vie for bragging rights.

The event will also include a historical vehicles display, great for car lovers.

There will be campsites, food and drinks available at the event, with guests encouraged to bring their own chairs and get in early for the best vantage point.

The event will run from 9am–3pm.

For information, phone Allan on 0488 270 961 or check the Roma Historical Precinct Facebook page.
