Street’s ahead in polocrosse
THE Charleville Polocrosse Club hosted a clinic last weekend with guest coaches Jordan Street and Kyla Hill taking the reins.
Street, 28, originally from Charleville, returned to his hometown from a polocrosse competition in Victoria to hold a two-day clinic to improve eager players’ and newcomers’ skill sets.
“The polocrosse clinic aimed to give new and old players a few more tips on playing the game and preparing horses and horsemanship, as well as tips on how to ride your horse to make it easier in the game,” he said.
Street began playing polocrosse in Charleville at the age of 12 and has played in southeast Queensland, the Gold Coast, NSW and WA – he is currently competing with a team in Victoria.
“I think it’s important to come back to where you began because it shows where you come from and it shows, if you want to do something, you can do it,” Mr Street said.
