New faces for Dairy Aus­tralia’s board

DAIRY Aus­tralia has two new board mem­bers.

For­mer Par­malat Aus­tralia and War­rnam­bool Cheese and But­ter chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer David Lord and Grains Re­search and De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion deputy chair Roseanne Healy were elected un­op­posed at Dairy Aus­tralia’s an­nual gen­eral meet­ing.

They re­placed di­rec­tors John McKil­lop and David Mallinson, who both de­cided to re­tire. James Mann was re-elected as a di­rec­tor with milk pro­ducer skills.

Mr Mann is owner of Dono­van’s Dairy­ing Pty Ltd at Wye in South Aus­tralia and was chair­man of the DairySA Re­gional De­vel­op­ment Pro­gram from 2002 to 2015, when he was elected to the DA board.

Mr Lord was elected as a di­rec­tor with dairy pro­cess­ing and man­u­fac­tur­ing skills.

He told the meet­ing he had spent his whole ca­reer in the dairy in­dus­try.

He be­gan with As­so­ci­ated Dairies, which later changed its name to Pauls and was even­tu­ally bought by Par­malat.

He most re­cently served as pres­i­dent and chief op­er­at­ing of­fi­cer for Sa­puto.
