The Western Star - - NEWS OPINION YOUR SAY -

THIS week on The Western Star Facebook page, we shared a story about the act of vandalism on the Zonta Club of Roma signs. Here’s what you had to say: ASHLEY JANE:

Every year the Zonta signs are ruined.

This will allow us to send a positive message once again. It is only a mindless minority responsible for such stupidity, Zonta says no to violence. ANDREW THOMAS

Go Christina Waldron ... you’re a champion. LINDA SPACKMAN

I was just waiting for it to happen again. People have no respect for other people’s belongings any more.

May need to put up a discreet camera in the area. That would identify the culprits. BARBARA SPURRIER

Not condoning the damage but maybe it could read Say No to Violence for Everyone instead of alienating half the population?

I doubt it would be anything against your club or women. My guess is just idiots doing their usual.

This week we also shared a story about five Roma State College students who travelled to Brisbane to compete in the Wonder of Science competition. Here’s what you had to say: JANET ROWLINGS Congratulations to all the children who participated! Our school did extremely well to have two teams in the state finals and one team come out as State champions. Thank you particularly to Mrs Jo Rickert for her support of the students. Very, very proud parent!

Well done to the grade five team who also qualified and competed in Brisbane. Whilst they did not place they also represented our school well and participated in this amazing experience.

All seven students from RSC who attended the Wonder of Science State Final should be proud of their efforts.

Awesome work team!

GIGI ROBERTSON Congratulations.
