01 POW Kitchen Fuel up at POW Kitchen before you hit the dance floor or mosh pit at the Prince Bandroom. The pan-asian-inspired menu hops on the hawker-style share-plates trend to take you from Japan to Thailand and everywhere in between. Making use of the deck space that looks over Fitzroy Street, POW Kitchen also comes with a tropical cocktail menu that can probably make you forget the onset of winter sweeping across St Kilda. 29 Fitzroy St, St Kilda 3182. 03 9536 1168. www. princebandroom.com.au. Mon-fri 4pm-late; Sat, Sun noon-late.

02 Trippy Taco Southside It’s a bumper month for St Kilda, with Fitzroy burrito joint Trippy Taco making the move southside. Fans of the original can expect the same famous spicy fries, the bean- and cheesepacked burrito and the quesadilla with everything. The space is bigger, but you’ll still have to fight St Kilda backpackers for a seat. 6 Acland St, St Kilda 3182. 0401 530 509. www.trippytaco.com.au. Mon-wed 11.30am9pm; Thu-sun 11.30pm-late.

03 West of Kin Head out west to Braybrook and visit Andy and Tram Tran’s sprawling West of Kin, the sister venue to Kin on Chapel Street. The large backyard space welcomes local families (pets included) and the Asian fusion menu by consulting chef Sam Pinion (most recently of the Rose Upstairs in Fitzroy) is short and sweet. 17 Lacy St, Braybrook 3019. 03 9317 7553. www.westofkin.com.au. Wed-sun 11am-3pm & 5-11pm.
