What is a prebiotic?
Prebiotics are non-digestible fibre compounds that encourage good bacteria to grow. Sources include asparagus, dandelion root, starchy bananas and chicory root.
What is a probiotic?
Probiotics are good live bacteria, including Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. Sources include yoghurt, kombucha, kefir, unpasteurised sauerkraut, miso and other fermented veggies that aren’t pickled in vinegar.
