Dog day afternoon
Richmond’s Dogapalooza is packing them in
THIS IS THE one music festival where you actually want to be approached by dogs on arrival. Back for its second year, Dogapalooza is a beautiful union of live music, food trucks, people and canines, where proceeds go to dog charities including Oscar’s Law, Greyhound Rescue Victoria and Stafford Rescue. On the bill so far are folk singer-songwriter Sam Lohs and Melbourne alt-pop group the Little Stevies. An appealing line-up to be sure, but have you considered what kind of tunes your pup is into? Did you ever wonder if dogs have musical preferences in the same way humans do? We did. ■ à Burnley Park, Richmond 3121. 0433 042 132. www.tickets.oztix.com.au. 11am-5pm. $13.30-$39.80. Sun Oct 9.
