Time Out (Melbourne)

CAN’T LEAVE YOUR DOGGO BEHIND?

-

Take your best friend somewhere they can stretch their four legs for a weekend. Many of the beaches surrounding Torquay are dog friendly, and some just outside town are even off-leash, like Jan Juc and Bells Beach. Head to the You Yangs Regional Park ( parkweb.vic.gov.au/explore/ parks/you-yangs-r.p) for the 3.2-kilometre Flinders Peak Walk, which’ll certainly have you and your pupper puffing. Hepburn Regional Park ( parkweb.vic. gov.au/explore/parks/hepburn-r.p) is also dog friendly, and if you and your pup want to make a day of it, the 16-kilometre Tipperary Walking Track is flat and easy going. Or hit the Yarra Valley with your best friend – tour company Pooches and Pinot ( poochesandpinot.com.au) offers dog-friendly wine-tasting tours.
