Nissan Qashqai

Nissan’s updated the Qashqai once more, to help keep the original crossover competitive with all the imitators it spawned.

There’s a new media system, and it’ll run Apple CarPlay or Android Auto rather than Nissan’s iffy system. Phew.

Inevitably, the focus is now on petrol engines. Your only option is a 1.3 turbo in either 138bhp and 158bhp tunes. Both perform well.

A Seat Ateca or Pug 3008 is still newer and more exciting, but the Qashqai remains a solid choice. One that’s built in Britain, too.
