RALLY CAT

Top Gear (UK) - - INTAKE -

Rally cars aren’t known for being… convertible. To hell with tradition, then, because Jaguar has turned two F-Types into gravel-stage monsters. Both get Jag’s 296bhp 4cyl turbo engine, upgraded brakes and proper competition suspension. There are also motorsport-spec wheels thrown in, along with a limited-slip diff, fire extinguisher, FIA-spec roll cage, competition seats, a proper hydraulic handbrake and the all-important bonnet-mounted lightpod. The point? “A tribute to the XK 120 and all the great Jaguar sports cars since its reveal 70 years ago,” says Jag, while a Chequered Flag limited edition has been revealed simultaneously. So any old excuse to prat about, then. TG approved.
