WHY IT’S HERE
It’s the bedrock of Volkswagen’s all electric future push
DRIVER

THIS IS THE FOURTH ELECTRIC longterm test car I’ve run So it’s not immodest to say I’ve accrued useful experience of pluggedin life I never look at the rangetogo readout only the battery percentage
The other day I went from London to Bath and back That’s miles but the the ID has consistently given me plus so I was confident As I passed Swindon on the way home miles to go the ID’s milestogo readout said I had miles range remaining but I knew I’d either be in mph average speed cameras or the A arterial into London which has rigidly enforced mph and mph and mph limits So I ignored the rangeometer’s pessimism and got there with eight per cent charge remaining or miles to spare
So then Mr VW if your car is so clever why can’t its rangetogo meter take account of the upcoming speed limits of the roads which the satnav does know about?
