This month, Frozen 2. Buzz pitches four ideas for the sequel to the animated musical mega-hit.

DOUGHZEN

With Frozen becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time, it’s time to rinse the sequel for every dollar’s worth of potential merchandise. Sell more costumes by having Elsa and Anna switch up outfits in every scene. Maybe Olaf could build some snowfriends in order to sell more plushies? And who’s to say Kristoff’s sleigh can’t be upgraded to a turbo-boosted, laser-gunned rocket-jet?

GROWZEN

Kiddie-fans of Frozen will be at least five years older by the time the sequel is released, so let’s get adult. And we mean Anna-discovers-Olaf’s-horrifically-meltedremains adult. Elsa’s powers could mutate in a terrifyingly Cronenbergian way, Sven could develop a carrot addiction and, while we’re at it, could the songs be a bit more metal?

STATUS QUOZEN!

Talking of the songs, the chances of writing another epic hit like ‘Let It Go’ are pretty slim so why not use existing rock tunes to soundtrack the film? It worked for Rock Of Ages. And if we pick the blandest, most accessible tunes, they’ll appeal to the widest audience. Status Quo’s back catalogue has been waiting for an opportunity just like this.

KEYSER SöZEN

It’s time for Disney to ditch the familiar fairytale template and surprise us with some twists. Maybe Olaf wakes up and it’s all been a dream? Or part of Anna’s delusional psychosis? Or maybe Elsa discovers she is adopted and her father is the X-Men’s Bobby Drake? Crossovers are all the rage... MLo ETA | 10 MAR CH 2017 Frozen 2 is currently in pre-production.
