TALKING THE HAWKE

Ienjoyed reading the ‘Between Takes’ interview with Ethan Hawke in TF277. Given his film roles, I was perhaps wrongly expecting someone a bit different. But he seems like a normal guy, talking about getting on

with people at work, having an Achilles heel for sweets (don’t we all?) and always having loads to do at home. It got me wondering, who else has come across as really down to Earth in interviews, and who’s a bit off-piste? CHRIS GARLICK, PONTYPRIDD

Well, that would be air-kissing and telling, wouldn’t it? We’d be lying if we didn’t say the odd interviewee has left us, well, piste-off; but the vast majority are civil, accommodating, really interesting, smell great and… why yes, we would like 10 minutes longer than all the other journalists, that would be smashing.
