Hot comic properties Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish grate rather than spark in this scattershot comedy about a qualifications-hungry high-school dropout and his tough-talking teacher. Unable to trigger the raucous fun of Girls Trip, director Malcolm D. Lee settles for a bickering adult version of Breakfast Club. Diehard fans of Hart’s big-hearted bluster will give it a passing grade, regardless.
