An American Werewolf In London, this handmade creature feature is the debut of 21-year-old writerdirector John Landis. The proto-auteur also proves a winning mime within Rick Baker’s ape suit – he is Schlockthropus, the prehistoric beast who falls in love with a blind woman, goes to the movies to watch The Blob, and plays a little jazz piano between killing 789 people.
