BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: A PICTURE BOOK

-

Following re-tellings of Home Alone, E.T. and others, the Pop Classics series turns Buffy into a bedtime story. It avoids any of that awkward teenage stuff by depicting the Slayer and her besties (“It’s pronounced ‘Zander’”) as adorable eight-year-olds afraid of the dark (with, it turns out, good reason). Not an awful lot of vampire action, but fun for first-generation fans with kids, especially the busy (and Easter egg-y) final spreads. Matthew Leyland
