THEATRE of WAR

Part of a larger project involving a video installation, stage play and book, Lola Arias’ meta-doc sees Falklands War veterans deliver dramatic performances to excavate wartime trauma. The set-up recalls The Act Of Killing, but the free-form structure teeters on the brink of abstraction. Luscious lensing and an unblinking focus on the stories of both British and Argentine soldiers ensures there’s much to admire. Tim Coleman
