Desperate to know what John Wick will be getting up to this time around? Director Chad Stahelski has a handy list of ingredients for his threequel: “Horses, dogs, cats, a raven, a bunch of pigeons, a motorcycle chase, car chase, Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, shotguns and ninjas.” Yep, it’s crazy business as usual for the sleeperhit franchise, which will pick up the pieces after Chapter 2’s cliffhanger ending.

On the run thanks to the fact that he now has a $14m contract out on his life, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is forced to battle his way through New York City, facing the likes of warring assassins and, yes, ninjas along the way. “Each film is very different but in the same kind of world,” the actor says, adding that the film’s working title of John Wick 3: Parabellum refers to “that famous sentence, ‘Si vis pacem, para bellum.’ Which translates as, ‘If you want peace, prepare for war.’” Wick will have help courtesy of an old ally played by Berry, and they’ll both go up against the criminal overlords of High Table, although quite how Hiroyuki Sanada’s villain factors into the action remains to be seen.
