V horror hostess Elvira (aka actor Cassandra Peterson) made her movie bow with this raucous showcase for her innuendo-stacked, Mae West-meets-Morticia Addams schtick. The witch-out-of-water plot sees our heroine head to a small town, outraging the olds but enlivening the teens. Despite a whiff of Porky’s, this is more naughty-but-nice than down and dirty, and funnier for it. The ace featurelength doc reveals that auditionees included Brad Pitt (“My notes were ‘yum, yum’,” recalls Peterson). Matthew Leyland
