The letter in TF312 about ‘Vs’ movies got me thinking. How about mixing horror with nonhorror? Let’s have Freddy Vs. Mary Poppins, where the super-nanny has to save those children from their dreams. Or maybe Jason Vs. Borat (“Yakshemash! It is nice to meet you, big hunky Voorhees man…” SPLAT!). Or how about Sadako Vs. High School Musical: what was supposed to be an audition tape left the judges seven days to figure out how to beat the vengeful ghost… only the musical is in eight days’ time! Dun dun DUN! You get the idea.

Who says High School Musical isn’t a horror movie? Only kidding. Would quite fancy the main character in Ring having a sit-down with the HSM kids about titles and brevity, given the likes of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: The Special. That’s a worse abuse of colons than you’d get in a Jackass movie.
