W12A ith its stunts, spectacle and brazen steals from the Raiders, Mummy and Pirates series, Jaume ColletSerra’s Amazonian adventure goes all out to entertain. But it also exhausts, as Dwayne Johnson’s riverboat captain and Emily Blunt’s anthropologist embark on a breathless, obstacle-stuffed quest for the Tree Of Life. Like the surfeit of suitcases Jack Whitehall’s MacGregor totes around, there’s a lot of baggage in this theme-park ride writ large; but also fun and jeopardy in the zombie attacks, raging rapids and Rock vs. jaguar brawls.
