Acid Nerve made minor waves with its 2015 debut Titan Souls, a series of knife-edge boss fights where you and your opponent had a single hit point. It should enjoy more success with this terrific follow-up, which casts you as a crow whose job as a reaper is disrupted by the discovery of a world where creatures defy death. You can take a few more hits this time, but battles remain taut and tense, while the distinctive setting incorporates clever puzzles and devious shortcuts so you can catch your breath between fights.
