You delivered real lambs on set. How was that?

It was raw, beautiful, brutal. My adrenaline… I could hear my heart beat. Obviously, you can’t really practise. I was waiting in my trailer for the knock, and they came and said, “There’s a lamb coming,” and I’m running down, rolling up my sleeves, down on my knees and pulling out something I’ve never seen before. I will never forget when the lamb opened his eyes for the first time and I took the mucus off his face and the first breath… that really placed me the deepest place of María. That was my first day on set! JM
