How Fender is putting their faith in bands

-

When Fender announced its Offset models in 2016 we couldn’t help noticing how many young bands we saw playing them. And it seems their proactive approach to endorsements is paying off, judging by the full house of Fender we have with these two bands…

Becky

“That was the dream for me. I didn’t have much money when I was growing up and the first electric guitar I bought doesn’t even have a brand name on it, it’s probably one of the worst you can get. But that’s what I learned on and I remember going into a music shop in London with my uncle and I fell in love with a Mexican Strat and it was £750. I thought I was never going to be able to afford that. We got a Fender endorsement recently and it just blows your mind. When a brand like that puts faith in what you’re doing, well, it’s a huge compliment really.”

Chris

“Just as a company it seems to be really helpful. Fender gave me and Bill new scratch plates because we just have the one pickup in the bridge.”

Kevin

“All our favourite bands growing up were Fender, the bass players were for me anyway. So it was the guitar to get to be like your heroes.”

Chris

“We see bands we love playing them so for them to have faith in younger bands and help them out with gear is amazing. And maybe there are people who will look at us lot and then think, ‘Oh they’re playing Fender.’”

Steven

“And Fender guitars look awesome.”

Billy“

That’s 90 percent of it to be honest – they have to look good! The sound can come after!”
