Peter Green used his 1959 Gibson Les Paul famed for its trademark tone, which can be attributed to a fault in one pickup. Danny Kirwan likely used a P-90 loaded Les Paul. Still, this track is standard blues-rock fare so most electric guitars will suffice. You don’t need too much overdrive on your amp; both Green and Kirwan’s tone is all about getting that elusive ‘not quite clean/not quite distorted’ sound spot on.
