16 Drop D tuning

Retuning your guitar is an easy way to create new chords and sounds using shapes you’re already familiar with. The simplest tuning is ‘drop D’. As the name suggests, you drop the sixth string (an E note) down to D. What’s really great about it is that you can play powerchords with one finger!
