Back in 2016, TG met up with Jason Isbell in Bristol to talk songwriting and we were taken with his 2014 Custom Shop ’60 Tele Custom at the time, a workhorse that’s managed to keep its place in his rig since. So this relic’d production model is a mega-expensive Custom Shop guitar, right? No, this is a pleasant surprise for those of us usually priced out by signature relics. It’s Road Worn double-bound Tele for £1,249 in Chocolate Sunburst with custom wound pickups, 60s ‘C’ profile maple neck and 7.25” radius rosewood fingerboard.

The ashtray-style bridge with brass saddles is modified with its side walls machined off to enhance comfort while retaining that vintage class. Available May.
