JAM TRACK CRASH COURSE

You’ve honed your playing, now apply what you’ve learnt and play along to three bespoke jam tracks

-

Here we have three backing tracks for you to jam along to, each in a different style and each designed to help you practise different aspects of live performance. First up is a riffy bluesrock track with a shuffle feel that’ll help you get to grips with the finer elements of groove and feel. Our indie/folka-rock track has a steadier eighth note pulse, but the arpeggios are quite the workout if you decide to follow them - a great picking workout. Our final track is an epic rock ballad that will have you playing more melodically.

It’s a repeating chord progression so your aim is to gradually grow and develop your ideas over the course of an extended solo. If you’ve ever blasted out your best licks in the opening bars of an improvised solo, you’ll know how important it is to hold back some musical ideas as you progress.
