GUILD SURFLINER

Trust Guild to bring us one of the most interesting line of guitars at this year’s NAMM Show. The Surfliner range (£395) capitalises on Guild’s knack for alternative guitars with an offset doublecut body, HSS pickup configuration with retro-style curves and lines. It’s got a poplar body, maple neck and fingerboard (25.5” scale), and fixed bridge with thru-body stringing. The pickups give us an interesting combination of Guild’s LB-1 (‘Little Bucker’) in the bridge, with some historic pedigree from a pair of Dearmond Aerosonic singlecoils. The three rocker/toggles give us a total of 7 pickup voicings, and its available in three trans finishes: Sunset Orange, White Sage and Catalina Blue.
