The official video sees Yannis Philippakis and Jimmy Smith doubling up on the riff, playing a humbucker-equipped Travis Bean TB1000A and a Fender Mustang (with single coils) respectively. So, although almost any pickup configuration will do the job, we recommend using a single coil equipped guitar, ideally with a compressor pedal to even out the strumming dynamics. If your guitar has humbuckers select the middle pickup position for an even spread of frequencies. For a single coil guitar we recommend using a neck- or middle-position pickup.
