Stephanie Parkinson & Daniel Stevens MARRIED AUGUST 26, 2017 // PHOTOGRAPHER: WILD HEART IMAGERY

Townsville Bulletin - Townsville Eye - - Contents -

Where are you both from? I’m from Townsville, he’s from

New Zealand.

How did you meet? In Kalgoorlie , the gold mining town. We were living next door to each other. It sounds terrible but I’ll add I was at the time in a horrible domestic violent relationship and he actually, I guess you could say, rescued me from it. I sustained a head injury and slept on his couch that night. Six months later since moving out of the bad situation and living on my own I rang him and asked to be friends and he said it’s a date!

Where was the ceremony? At my Nanna’s house in the backyard under a big fig tree I planted with my Poppy years before he died. Where was the reception? Same place. What was your first dance song? Why? That song from Con Air. It’s called How Do I Live. It’s just beautiful.

Bride’s dress: I picked it up for $100 in a closing down fashion gallery pop-up shop. Bridesmaids’ dresses: I didn’t have any bridesmaids.

Where was your honeymoon? New Zealand to see Daniel’s family and then Bali without the kids!
