Jesse J ill in hospital but tipped to recover in time for Voice

-

JESSIE J’s illness isn’t expected to stop her returning to Australia for The Voice’s live shows.

Jessie J has posted photos of herself in hospital, telling followers she is in a lot of pain.

The UK pop star joined The Voice Australia as its newest judge after having appeared on the first two seasons of the British version of the series.

“We are sending our very best wishes for a speedy recovery to Jessie,” a Nine Network spokeswoman said yesterday.

“We do not anticipate her illness impacting her return and we look forward to welcoming her back for the show in the coming months.”

Jessie J said on Instagram, “Being human sucks when you are non stop and your body says NOPE”, and posted a photo of herself hooked up to a drip.

“Unexpected but I’m here trying my best not to let it win. Sometimes admitting how you really feel can be the quickest road to recovery.” Jessie J said she has had an operation but she won’t be revealing any further details and has asked that fans respect her privacy.

“PLEASE don’t keep asking me or harassing my close ones on here or anywhere for information,” she said.

The health scare has also forced her to cancel a number of sold- out gigs.

“I have been medically advised to cancel my shows. I am simply in no way to perform,” she said. “I am really sorry to all my fans in Denmark, Bristol and Belgium and I look forward to seeing you all in the future. I am truly disappointed,” she wrote last week.

Jessie appeared on Sunday night’s season opener of The Voice Australia, picking up a number of artists to join her team.

The episode that aired on the Nine Network was pre- recorded a number of months ago.
