Cyclists to roll out the red carpet

SHOW your support for cycling advocacy and join the Townsville Bicycle Users Group for their annual Style Over Speed bike ride. Meet at 3.30pm tomorrow under the big TV screen in Townsville Bulletin Square for a leisurely cycle through town. Bow ties and fascinator­s on helmets a must! It will be a very slow cycle down to the Rockpool and the Casino, and finishing up at City Lane for a Red Carpet fashion parade. Party on with music and prizes. JOIN the Townsville Hiking Meeting Group for a camp and hike at Balgal Beach. Just a 52- minute drive north of Townsville. Meet at the Mystic Sands campground at Balgal tomorrow or pop up on Sunday morning at 8am for a day hike to Fisherman’s Landing. JOIN the Tatjana Good from the yoga and fitness studio for acro yoga workshops at the Oonoonba Community Centre this Sunday. Start the day with a Vinyasa Flow and partner yoga stretch at 8am, then at 10am is the acro yoga practice. You will be guided through different poses to strengthen and stretch your body. You will feel like a kid again. Cost is $ 70 for both classes or $ 35 for the early class and $ 50 for the second. It is open to all fitness levels.
