Jones gets the nod to stand again for LNP
HERBERT MP Ewen Jones has been preselected by the LNP to recontest his seat at next year’s federal election.
The LNP yesterday preselected 11 sitting MPs in Queensland.
Mr Jones said he was honoured to again receive the endorsement of his party.
“I am proud to be part of a government which is serious about developing the North,” Mr Jones ( pictured) said.
“Herbert is a marginal seat and I will continue to do my best to deliver projects for our city and region.
“From community cyclone shelters to major road projects; from international flights to free trade agreements; from health and education to defence; from the NDIS to the NBN, I will continue to push for our region.”
Mr Jones will again face his 2013 challenger, Labor’s Cathy O’Toole.
