This was the game we’d been just THURSTON for

-

I THOUGHT this might bring further joy to readers and Cowboys faithful:

The North Queensland Cowboys had been waiting 20 years to get their THURSTON and win a grand final. Well, this became fact in 2015.

Cowboys versus Broncos – but really, to the NQ faithful, Brisbane were never in the HUNT. I say this because it’s SCOTT little to do with who the coach is, but is more about the passion of the players on the paddock.

He probably won’t admit it, but I bet the Brisbane coach was GREEN with envy when the Cowboys lifted the trophy high. From the opening whistle, NQ began TAMOU down their opposition. The NQ lock was a bit slow to get going, but it didn’t KOSTJASYN as he went on to be one of the best forwards on the field.

Brisbane were BOYD by an early lead, but the Cowboys HANNANT even got into their stride yet. Although in front on the scoreboard a few seconds from full- time, the Broncos got MORGAN they bargained for and FELDT the full force of the Cowboys’ fury as the Cowboys right winger got his BOLTON and levelled the scores up with no regular time remaining.

To me, if you REED between the lines, the Broncos weren’t even LINNET for long. They will now have to put the PARKER brake on for their seventh title. The Cowboys can bathe in champagne as the Broncos chew on OATES to build themselves up for 2016.

I do feel for the Broncos players who are now probably wishing their Mad Monday started on the THAIDAY be- fore the Big One. They will be feeling mighty LOWE ( maybe even mighty TAUMALOLO) for a while as they DODDS a bullet when JT missed the final conversion only to see him slot the winning field goal in golden point.

For the Brisbane supporters watching, that must have felt like they were in the BLAIR Witch Project. All that remains is for rugby league royalty to anoint the next Immortal; O’NEILL before them JT for your just reward. WALLY GUIVARRA,

Atherton.
