Saturday Night Crack- Up
ABC, Saturday, 7.30pm All week the ABC has been screening programs about the impact of mental illness on our community – it has been confronting viewing at times but has been the catalyst to star t a much- needed conversation. Tonight, things are given a lighter touch as some of Australia’s biggest stars join host Eddie Perfect on stage for a huge night of laughs. SC TEN, Sunday, 8.30pm The human brain is a phenomenal instrument yet only a por tion of it is used for normal function. So imagine what you could do if you could tap into the locked resources of your mind. It’s an intriguing concept and one that was explored in the 2011 film of the same name. Here, Bradley Cooper reprises his role as Eddie Morra, yet his involvement with the experimental mind- opening drug NZT has become one of ambassador as he convinces struggling ar tist Brian Finch ( Jake McDorman) to join the revolution.

SEVEN, Monday, 11.30pm Hands up if, in a moment of weakness, you’ve Facebook stalked an ex. Didn’t like what you saw, right? Regardless of how “amicable” the split was or how much time has passed, it’s always a little bit of a kick in the guts when you hear about big life moments in a past love’s life. Tonight, Mindy ( Mindy Kaling) is invited to the wedding of her exboyfriend Josh ( Tommy Dewey). Sure he was a lying, cheating scoundrel, but the idea of turning up without a date sends Mindy into a panic.
Heroes Reborn
SEVEN, Wednesday, 10.30pm Five years since the original Heroes series packed up its capes and called it a day, Heroes Reborn flies on to our screens at dizzying speeds. Chronicling the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities, the fantasy series may fall short in assuming fans of the original are tuning in, but it’s easy enough to catch on if you’re new to it, too. Jack Coleman reprises his role as Noah Bennet, but the world is far from the happy place he once called home. “Evos” or “evolved humans” are hunted by organisations who believe they pose a threat to humanity. But the world is crumbling. Will the heroes come out of hiding and embrace their skills for good?
