Sell refinery to pay debts

-

THE Queensland Nickel closure was brought about by Clive Palmer’s greed.

He cared not one iota for the consequences that followed as long as his bank accounts bulged.

All to often this is the practice of multinationals, who drain the guts of a company leaving an empty shell. Staff and investors and tradesmen are left holding the empty can.

It does not take long for the culprits to appear in public driving a Mercedes or another luxury make car.

I cannot understand why the State and Federal governments have not got a court order to freeze all the assets of the Palmer empire including anyone related to the business.

The refinery itself can be sold or dismantled and sold as scrap, the income used to pay off debts.

I frequently get into trouble because I ask questions, and want to know why.

Knowledge is important. As far as I am concerned, I have a brain, which needs to be fertilised while I am still breathing.

This can only be done by experiencing life, good or bad, so at the end of my life span, there are no regrets. COLIN L. T. EASDON- SMITH,
