Blackhawks trio join Cowboys pair in Qld Residents team

TOWNSVILLE Bl a c khawks players Corey Jensen, Blake Leary and Kyle Laybutt have been named in the Queensland Residents team to play NSW next Sunday.

The trio have been joined by fellow Cowboys’ allocated players Ben Spina and Gideon Gela- Mosby.

All North Queensland players expect for Laybutt have Residents experience, with Laybutt earning his debut after Easts Tigers halfback Brodie Croft withdrew because of Junior Kangaroos duty.

Blackhawks fullback Carlin Anderson – who this week signed a two- year deal with the Cowboys – was left out of the team, with former Blackhawks custodian Jahrome Hughes ( Sunshine Coast) at No. 1.

The game will be shown live on Channel 9 at 1.40pm, May 7.
