Expo can aid with questions
FREE information sessions at next weekend’s Townsville Home Buyers Expo are designed to help unlock the secret to one of life’s biggest milestones – purchasing your first home.
Jess Baker from The Home Buying Helpers said the vicious cycle of renting could be almost impossible to break without the right advice and progress.
“On a consistent weekly basis I have many budding homebuyers come to me and say ‘ I’m just so sick of renting’, ‘ I’m so over paying off someone else’s mortgage’ or ‘ I just want to be able to put hooks on the wall or not stress out if my child draws in Nikko all over the walls’,” Ms Baker said.
“More often than not I see these same people 12 months later and they are in the same boat as they were a year ago.”
Ms Baker said the first step to purchasing a first home was to speak with agencies designed to help with the process.
“Some of my clients do not realise their home ownership dream for 12 months after we first speak,” she said.
“Some I speak to can purchase a brand new home right now but don’t even know it.”
Ms Baker said the Home Buyers Expo would provide a one- stop information hub for budding homeowners, including a selection of local businesses committed to tak- ing the hassle out of home buying experience.
“Whether you are looking to build, buy, secure finance or just want to get up to speed on the latest in home technology then this event is not to be missed,” Ms Baker said.
The Home Buying Helpers sessions will be held at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm on both days of the Home Buy- the ers Expo, to be held at The Ville over March 24- 25.
