ALL of the new boat brands represented at Townsville Marine are proudly manufactured in Australia.

One of the most popular brands is the iconic Bundaberg- based Sea Jay Boats. Sea Jay is still family owned and managed and is now into the second generation. Started by Col and Janelle Glass and now managed their son Troy, Sea Jay has a long and successful history.

I visited the Sea Jay factory for a dealer conference showcasing the latest 6.7 Trojan Hardtop and the new Tuff Deck ( TD) models. If you’re ever in Bundaberg, give Col a call and he will be more than happy to discuss how some of the original manufacturing presses were found in Darwin and how some of the jigs are made from steam pipe from the old hospital.

He’ll also be happy to explain how these days, modern high tech CNC routers precisely cut shapes into aluminium from CAD software.

We have the new TD models on order and recently took in a new super tough model, the all new 460 Ranger featuring the now proven Samurai Hull design.

The new 448 Avenger Sports with the swept bow now available in this model is also on its way.
